Join us for our 54th annual Pioneer Festiva and treat your senses to fresh pies, breads, sausages, sauerkraut, preserves and much more.
Enjoy the outdoor auction of fine Mennonite quilts at noon, Traditional food making demonstrations, Live Music, Farmer's Market & Horse-drawn wagon rides.
Gates open at 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Quilt Auction: Join in on the fast and furious bidding on handmade quilts. 12:00 start time in the Event Pavilion
Horse Drawn Wagon Rides: Take a ride to the Schmidt-Dalziel Century Farm to see our 200 year old barn! 11am-2:30pm, $2 per person
Sausage Making: See the Pennsylvania German Folklore Society make sausages and buy some to take home!
Snider Cider Mill: Watch and learn as the Snider Family press apples into cider at the Snider Cider Mill.
Food, Food and More Food: Whether you eat it here or take it home, there are old time favourites for everyone. Pies, jams, chili, sausages, apple butter, bbq chicken, cheese and more!
Black Creek Historic Brewery Tour: Meet the Brew Master, try some samples and enjoy a lively tour through the brewery and mill. $4 per person, set tour times
International Music and Dance: Enjoy live music and exciting dance in the heart of the village.
Spelling Bee: Kids, grades 4-5 and 7-9, compete in an old fashioned spelling bee.
Butter Churning, Apple Schnitzing, and Candle Dipping: Watch and learn as our Historic Interpreters demonstrate these pioneer skills!
