Summer camps and day cares check out Pioneer Summer Fun!  Experience summer as kids did in the 1800s.  Participate in games and sports popular at that time, have fun playing with traditional toys and enjoy trying on clothing that children wore long ago.  Learn to dance and even make your own toy!  This interactive program includes visits to the Village's 1860s homes and trade shops, where you can experience activities such as helping with the printing press, carding wool and more!

Also available is Stitch in Time , an interactive program where children take part in household activities  in an authentic log house.  Other programs available are Yesterdays Child, Step Into the Past, New Language, New Land and for the little ones Sensory Adventures.

This Fall book your class to experience Cast Your Vote.  This is an exciting and interactive program designed for grade 5 students.  A more advanced program is available for high school students taking their Civics requirement.

Do you have stong opinions?  If you do, you will have fun at Black Creek Pioneer Village.  Students become characters from the 1860s and have a chance to feel what it was like to be the people of long ago.  The program gets them involved in aspects of citizenship and government of the 1800s.  They debate a contencious issue and have the opportunity to "cast their vote" to see who carries the day.
