Christmas comes to Black Creek Pioneer Village! Come see the Village in it's finest holiday attire and celebrate Christmas with old and new traditions!
Starting November 19, enjoy special Christmas programs on the weekends:
Tour of Traditions : Tour our historic houses and discover the origins of Christmas traditions popular today. Why do we send Christmas cards? Why do we put up Christmas trees and open presents on Christmas Day?
Christmas Feasts & Flaming Puddings : Learn about the origins of traditional Christmas foods, marvel as the flaming plum pudding enters the room, and then taste this old-fashioned Christmas treat.
Trim the Tree: Learn all about the history of the Christmas Tree and make a tradition paper ornament to take home.
Mincemeat Tarts & Apple Cider : After an afternoon of strolling through the Village, purchase a homemade mincemeat tart and cider warmed over the fire in the Half Way House historic kitchen.
Additional Christmas themed activities happening throughout the village including Victorian dancing, roasting chestnuts for tasting, apple snitzing, holiday baking and more!
On weekends in December before Christmas, enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride around the historic Village and meet with Santa in Santa's Cottage! Don't forget your camera!
