Girl Guide & Scout Day at Black Creek Pioneer Village

Black Creek Pioneer Village is a living history museum with over 40 heritage buildings for girls to explore! During Black Creek's special Girl Guide and Scout Day, participants learn about life in 1860s Ontario, work towards meeting badge requirements, and have fun.

Time: 11 am to 5 pm 
Units are invited to explore the Village on their own following scheduled workshops.
Day ends at 5:00 p.m.

Cost: Girl Guides & Scouts: $14.00
Leaders: No Charge
Parents: $11.00

Leaders may select how Guides & Scouts spend the day. Choose from a wide array of workshops all designed to meet the Guide & Scout badge requirements. Pre-registration is encouraged.

  • Bake cookies and churn butter
  • Play Victorian Baseball
  • Meet the Printer
  • Dance in the ballroom
  • Play and learn drama games
  • Create a craft
  • Play Lacrosse 
  • Become a student in a historic school house
  • Work with wool
  • Plant and learn in the garden
  • Bake bannock over the fire
  • Have fun with Victorian fashion

Workshops offered throughout the day. Each unit may choose 4 workshops
