"As an avid beer enthusiast, I had high expectations for the Brewing Apprenticeship at Black Creek Pioneer Village. The experience not only met but exceeded my expectations. Ed, the Brewmaster, was both engaging and informative. He really knew a tremendous amount about the brewing process and he made my group was involved in each stage. It was a lot of fun to be able to actually make beer from scratch. And to be able to bring home the beer at the end of the day was fantastic.I highly recommend the Brewmaster apprenticeship. If you enjoy beer the way my husband and I do, you will come away with an incredible experience."

"I have been on many brewery tours over the years, as I am passionate about beer and the brewing process, but the Brewing Apprenticeship at Black Creek Pioneer Village was unlike any brewery experience I have ever had. Because the Brewmaster involves you directly in the process, I feel like I came away with a deeper understanding of how brewing beer actually works. It was a tremendous experience to be able to brew beer and learn about the historical context. I should also mention that the beer is fantastic and you get to take home a 2Litre growler of the stuff not to mention sampling beer throughout the day. You can also taste the wort if you like but I cannot say that it is as good as the finished product. I think the experience is well suited for individuals who like beer or the history of beer in Canada. If like me you appreciate both, the apprenticeship is great value and an excellent way to spend a Sunday."

"My day with the Brewer not only helped me develop skills to create my own, but also helped me appreciate the roots of the craft beer culture being developed in Toronto today. From the first boil to the final pour I enjoyed my entire experience at Black Creek!"
